Inside the White House’s West Wing to talk exclusively with the President’s personal photographer.

A day in British Parliament shadowing an MP.

On a sound stage in Hollywood getting Jim Cramer to sing (and talk about the economy).

On the streets of Delhi examining poverty in India.

In New York City for a radio appearance talking about Facebook and the presidential campaign.

It's all in a days work for journalist Eric Kuhn, who has traveled the world looking for exclusive interviews and major issues to examine. Never afraid to ask a hard political question or what the last song someone downloaded onto their iPod was, Eric has obtained access to top business executives, major politicians, newsmakers and entertainers. A recognized member of the UWire100 list, Eric is considered one of the most influential young people in the field today.

Kuhn is a senior at Hamilton College, but has taken the world of journalism by storm, receiving high praise for his work in print, television, radio and online. Arianna Huffington called Eric a “fearless journalist” and legendary television veteran Tammy Haddad said he was “the most creative, young person that came through MSNBC. He gets new media; he gets old media.”

At the age of 17 he went head-to-head with the Reverend Al Sharpton, former Nebraska Senator Bob Kerrey and CNN’s Jack Cafferty, for his high school television show. In college, he started a Podcast and radio show where former NYC Mayor Ed Koch, Pat Buchanan, Ron Reagan, former NYS Governor Eliot Spitzer, former NJ Governor and E.P.A. Chair Christine Todd Whitman, activist Cindy Sheehan, Murderball movie star Mark Zupan, Ben & Jerry’s co-founder Jerry Greenfield, attorney David Boies, Merrill Lynch Chief US & Quantitative Strategist Richard Bernstein, and others enthusiastically came on. Ann Curry (NBC), Andrea Mitchell (NBC), Tucker Carlson (MSNBC), Allyson Stewart (MSNBC), Lisa Daniels (NBC), Lou Dobbs (CNN), Lynn Sherr (ABC), Mike Jerrick (Fox), John Montone (1010 Wins), Joe and Shirley Wershba, Arianna Huffington, Mo Rocca, Rachel Sklar, and others participated in a special series called “Media Under the Microscope,” where Kuhn tried to explore all forms of the media in today’s ever changing world.

Until recently, Eric was the co-editor of PBase Magazine (an international photography magazine), which recently featured his exclusive interview with White House Photographer Eric Draper. Kuhn is a Huffington Post contributor and has published articles and videos on MSNBC.com, TodayShow.com, CBSNews.com, WashingtonPost.com, MediaBistro.com and CNBC.com.

When not acting as a journalist, Eric is a new media consultant helping companies link together new and traditional media. He regularly appears on the radio and is frequently quoted in articles regarding politics and the use of new media, as well as Facebook, LinkedIn and social media. Recently he has been quoted in the Associated Press, The New York Sun, The Japan Times, The South China Morning Post, the Washington Examiner’s Yeas and Nays column, the Chronicle of Higher Education, Editor and Publisher, and the Syracuse Post-Standard. He has been a guest on New York’s WNYC and WOR radio, and California’s KPCC, as a pundit on new media. On-line, he is regularly spotted in blogs such as TVNewser, FishbowlDC, FishbowlNY, Inside Cable News and What's Happening at CNN.

Kuhn, currently a consultant for CBS News, interned in the marketing division of CBS Interactive last summer. The previous summer he was the Creative Director's intern for CBS Evening News with Katie Couric, and previously worked as the NBC News Digital Media and Executive Office Intern under VP of Digital Media Mark Lukasiewicz and SVP Cheryl Gould. Kuhn has also interned in Washington, D.C. for Hardball with Chris Matthews and in NYS Senator Chuck Schumer’s Press Office. During the summer of 2005, he interned for The 712 Investment Group, one of Merrill Lynch's top private client investment firms. Eric has been hailed the “King of Interns” by Video Jug, where he answered questions on “How to be an intern?”. The videos were featured as a top MSN Video.

Kuhn is also passionate about bettering the life of all New Yorkers. He is the former co-president and soon-to-be board member of Project SHARE, a non-profit which helps build relationships between the homeless and high school students. Currently he is the Public Relations Director of Redemption Inc., a non-profit based in Brooklyn, New York, which encourages the self-empowerment and educational advancement of underserved youth, ages 13 – 19 years old, by promoting inter-generational learning, and by providing youth services and advocacy.

Eric is majoring in Government at Hamilton College, and spent last year studying at the London School of Economics.
