Sen. Fritz Hollings, 08.28.2008
Globalization is nothing more than a trade war -- with the United States AWOL. We refuse to fight; we refuse to compete in globalization; we refuse to protect our economy and standard of living like the plague.
William Bradley, 08.28.2008
I'm told by Clinton associates that the former president does not have any foreign travel planned between now and the election. I think that, if Obama is to win, Clinton needs to play a very crucial role.
Chez Pazienza, 08.28.2008
Philip Berg filed his lawsuit claiming Obama isn't a citizen knowing full-well that most of its claims are bogus -- that they already had been or easily could be debunked.
Aaron Belkin, 08.28.2008
Sure, hindsight is 20-20. But after watching Hillary and Bill Clinton's speeches over the past two nights, you have to believe that their rousing endorsements of Barack Obama were inevitable.
Scott Thill, 08.28.2008
Williams:"At the end of the day, I think its a dangerous decision for Nike to popularize a song like "List of Demands." My belief in the power of music tells me that it could possibly work against them."
Michael Shaw, 08.27.2008
I'm concerned as to how the traditional media will frame Barack Obama. If the cover of TIME's convention preview is any indication, we're in trouble.
Stephen Kaus, 08.27.2008
I'm sorry, but the theories that Hillary Clinton showed "exemplary grit and class" or that "it is no longer up to her" are preposterous. Hillary managed to make voting for Obama sound like taking Cod Liver Oil.
Brad Spirrison, 08.27.2008
We can live with a pseudo terrorist weatherman and narcissistic men of the cloth, but Obama's suicide squeeze into political Ozzieball makes some of us root for an 11th Hour brokered convention. At least Hillary was a Cubs fan for most of her life.
Earl Ofari Hutchinson, 08.28.2008
Romney is every bit the corporate cash cow as Obama -- he virtually self-bankrolled his campaign. He can do what McCain has struggled to do and that's open the GOP's corporate money spigot wide.
Jeff Chang, 08.28.2008
This was a different kind of protest. The troops then saluted the riot police -- and there they stood, the veterans and the thousands behind them, mostly silent.
Jamal Dajani, 08.28.2008
Several Arab networks dispatched their best anchors to Denver to beam a sliver of American politics to more than 300 million viewers in the region.
Greg Mitchell, 08.28.2008
In the Q & A, McCain can't think of a single criticism of his campaign so far and refuses to answer when pressed.
Tony Sachs, 08.28.2008
It was nice to see John Kerry as angry at George Bush and John McCain as Democrats have been at John Kerry the last four years.
Joe Lauria, 08.28.2008
Europe has had public health care, free universities and a greener economy for decades now. But in America we still dream of such things. Joe Biden couldn't stay away from the word.
Mary Lyon, 08.28.2008
The night of Clintons Behaving Graciously and Joe Biden fighting with finesse was unexpected -- the first half of it was a most welcome change and a big step toward maturity.
Art Levine, 08.28.2008
Without a successful voter registration and turn-out effort, backed with aggressive efforts to promote fair elections, Obama faces some serious challenges in a tight election in the fall.

"But the point is that, one, we will win this conflict. We will win it easily."
John McCain MSNBC, 1/22/2003
CNN has been running this story all day but I don't see it in many other places.
Putin is saying the Bush Administration orchestrated the conflict in Georgia for purposes of bolstering the McCain campaign...I THINK THIS IS BIG NEWS!!!

Not a peep about it on MSNBC. Hmmm, wonder why?
Did anyone notice that Chris Mathews looked liked he had been drinking all day yesterday? He looked like a mess.
I think he can see his job...just like the re-stupid-licans jobs...going away.
Mathews...your days of republican tool are numbered and NEARLY OVER!!!
Bye bye repubs!!!!
I have to hand it to the Dems this time. For all my teasing and provocation, on a serious note, for the last three elections, if there has to be a winner for Prez this time at least I can h@ck O and Michelle. From Al G0re, Edwards and Kerry this clearly is the best choice and the best chance. I will listen to the historic speech tonight and on that wise, we have not heard a Dem since Dr. King and JFK that had the ability to articulate a message and move a crowd.
Hats off!
And no RAIN is forecasted.
Take THAT, divisive Xtians!
I am an Xtian and I think that anyone who prayed for that in senseless.
" IS" senseless ...sorry
