It is Aniston's right to answer or not answer questions about that painful time in her life. Nicole Kidman has spoken quite a few times about the pain and hurt over her divorce from Cruise but some of the commentators here display very short memories. Penelope Cruz, who acted as a catalyst to the Kidman- Cruise separation ,has never spoken about the 'wonderful time of falling in love with Tom'. Given that Cruz showed discretion Kidman had no reason to involve her in the recollections of her breakup. The Jolie-Pitts, though, are so wrapped up in their self-righteous vanity that they don't feel the need for discretion . Cunningly following the path of hollow, vain people with money the world over (see Diana Spencer) the Jolie-Pitts have thrown themselves into the charity-as-vanity-project racket, where they can simultaneously disguise and feed their insufferable narcissism. I'm not a Jennifer Aniston fan, far from it. I think she has squandered whatever proof of talent for comedy she once showed,by participating in so many flimsy films and that shows indifference to her own development (which she seems to confuse with the constant pursuit of the perfect body and face). It was and is Aniston's right to tell her side of the story and the Jolie-Pitts cannot be allowed to dictate the terms of Aniston's narrative, nor can they be allowed to think they could do so.
